autoconf?
If you cannot install autoconf, make sure you have started
with a fresh distribution of gcc and g77,
do not do `make maintainer-clean', and, to ensure that
autoconf is not invoked by make during the build,
type these commands:
sh# cd gcc/f/runtime sh# touch configure libU77/configure sh# cd ../../.. sh#
